For those of you who read the articles talking about the American Giant hoodie as the "Greatest Hoodie of all time" I have to let you know as a connoisseur of hoodies that this jacket does not live up to the hype it received.
A Slate article that can be seen here: http://www.slate.com/articles/technology/technology/2012/12/american_giant_hoodie_this_is_the_greatest_sweatshirt_known_to_man.html helps to tout the hooded sweetshirt as the greatest ever made. Bayard Winthrop I am sorry to tell you I disagree and I own a collection of hooded sweatshirts that only few can compete with.
It did not ship until August 5th, 2013 I ordered it in December. Anticipation often leads to a heightened experience but not in this case. It is too thick, the fit and feel is not as good as Organic Earths hoodie and has odd stitching patterns that do not look smoothe in my opinion.
I did like the hoodies from Alternative Earth a lot more than any other place with the exception of Douglas Vincent from New York. I had one of my favorite shirts stolen outside of Baltimore when my rental car was broken into and it seems like he redesigned his website and I am unable to get more hoodies and shirts from him but he is right up there in terms of quality, design, and material. I guess you can read more of my hoodie thoughts and soon I will post a collection of my many hoodies on my "Richart Ruddie Typepad blog".
